Last paragraphs

These are some of the notes on the last paragraphs. Some of the key words and phrases include, "there's a tendency to glorify technological progress" and availablity of books would lead to "intellectual laziness." What he is saying is, going back over the ages, there has always been a fear of losing touch with knowledge as information has become more readily available. First with the written word, then printing press leading to cheap books, and now the internet. You can see this in the real world all over. He is saying that people have become so used to fast information, that they don't get the chance to digest what they have learned without going on to the next subject. This is important to note since we are all changing the way we take in our information. The printed word has almost become obsolete, replaced by the quicker and easier version of text, and everyone is along for the ride.
